Psychic Prediction by - 15th April 2011

Australian Industry Lobbying will Fall on Deaf Ears

This psychic prediction might get a few noses out of joint, especially if you own or have interests in the mining or gambling industry.

I'm being spiritually shown that people are not interested in their advertising campaigns. They are switching off because they collectively believe they are being manipulated.

As I spiritually tune into the business issues concerning Australia in the coming months it seems energetically the tide is turning – not in favour of the large business corporations.

Spiritually I'm being shown that the campaign by Clubs Australia and the Australian Hotel industry to stop pokie machine gambling reforms, isn't going to win favour with the Australian electorate. The Australian public are desensitised and it would take something monumental to get them engaged in this debate.

UPDATE: 27th October 2011

In this psychic prediction Vine said that, "the campaign by Clubs Australia and the Australian Hotel industry to stop pokie machine gambling reforms, isn't going to win favour with the Australian electorate."

Whilst this prediction is certainly true, the gambling lobbyists are very rich and very powerful; As rich and powerful as the mining lobbyists. They are both backed by several sections of the Australian media and the fight is hotting up.

The Channel 9 Network's support for Gambling industry has not been popular with the Australian electorate. Gambling lobbyists have attempted to use any resource available to them. The Channel 9 Managing Directors relationship with James Packer, owner of the Crown Casino is definitely raising peoples ire. Now the Managing Director of Channel 9 is saying they're responsible for the controversial NRL political announcement during the finals. People are questioning whether the direct relationship between James Packer and management of the 9 network has gone too far. The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) is currently investigating the Nine Network concerning possible breaches to Media laws to support the gaming industry lobbying protest.

Vine originally shared she saw industry lobbying would not be successful. James Packer after announcing Crown's $340 million profit from gambling sent out a warning to shareholders that the current legislation being considered by the Australian government could hurt the gambling industry.

There is a level of desperation coming from the gambling lobbying industry but it's still falling on deaf ears as far as the media battle for the public is concerned. There plan now seems to be to use their money and influence to support the opposition leader, Tony Abbott who is claiming he will roll back the legislation if he wins the election.

Vine's Prediction Comes True
Vines prediction concerning Gambling media campaigns failing to sway public opinion has come true, as the public lobbying war in the media seems to have been lost and some of the corporations involved are now redirecting their efforts to changing the legislation if the coalition party is elected into government in the future.

Vine's prediction about corporation lobbying falling on deaf ears is true, and now they are changing their tactics.

UPDATE: 4th October 2011

It seems that the sports betting industry is pulling out all stops to get people onside and now the Australian Nine Network is being investigated as to how commentators of the NRL Finals game attacked the Federal Governments proposed Pokies reforms. The Australian Communications and Media Authority are investigating how the Nine Network allegedly used a public forum to influence the Australian sporting viewers.

It seems special interest groups were attempting to sway public opinion. It doesn't seem to have worked and now with the media authorities breathing down their neck any move Clubs Australia or the lobbying groups are attempting, will now be more critically observed by the Australian electorate.

In this psychic prediction Vine said: "this psychic prediction might get a few noses out of joint, especially if you own or have interests in the mining or gambling industry.

The latest investigation being undertaken by authorities is clearly showing there is some type of manipulative behavior occurring and now the electorate is aware of this behavior more than ever.

UPDATE: 27th September 2011

As early as April this year Vine shared that Clubs Australia's pokies lobbying would fall on deaf ears. It doesn't seem that the lobbying groups are satisfied with not winning the strategy game and have stepped it up a notch and maybe telling a 'few furphies' to the general public. Last weekend the Australian public were told the AFL and the NRL were joining forces to fight Independent Member Andrew Wilkie's pokies changes to stop problem gamblers.

AFL CEO Andrew Demetriou was livid with Clubs Australia and the NRL campaign falsely advising constituents they were all joining forces to fight the trial of pre-commitment technology on pokies. Collingwood Football Club President Eddie McGuire was also criticised by Andrew Wilkie and Tim Costello for saying that a new tax was being charged for the pokies reforms, when no tax was being collected by the Australian government.

In short the media PR lobbying blitz flopped, the Australian public saw they were being manipulated by the people flooding the airwaves and media with false information and the majority of Australians still support action by the government in tackling problem gambling.

Vine originally guided: I'm being spiritually shown that people are not interested in their advertising campaigns. They are switching off because they collectively believe they are being manipulated.

As I spiritually tune into the business issues concerning Australia in the coming months it seems energetically the tide is turning – not in favour of the large business corporations."

Vine may have been tuning into this latest pokies lobbyists media campaign found out for misleading the Australian public and then having to back peddle to save public face.

In this prediction Vine shared it would take something monumental to get Australians engaged in the pokies debate. It seems the footy finals week was targeted as the gambling lobby's D Day.

UPDATE: 2nd September 2011

Tobacco Industry Lobbyists Unsuccessful

The tobacco industry was not successful in turning the mood of the consumers or legally challenging the Australian government introducing plain packaging for cigarettes. The plain packaging bill has passed through parliament. In January 2012 coloured packaging will be a thing of the past. The Australian people have spoken.

The gambling lobby group is pulling out all stops to force the Australian government from introducing a bill to stop problem gamblers using a pre-commitment card and this is still an ongoing fight between the Government and a powerful and well funded lobby group with the help of the Australian media.

Some commentators believe the Australian media is too closely aligned to the Clubs Australia and the Australian Hotels Association (AHA) cause of attempting to force the Australian government to drop Andrew Wilkie's Bill. If the Gillard led government doesn't bring in the bill, they have Wilkie saying he will not support them continuing in government.

The Australian Mining industry lobby group is fighting on two fronts. The anti-carbon tax as well as the proposed mining tax. The Australian government is dealing with a great deal of international pressure from mining companies that are hitting it full throttle to stop the mining tax.

UPDATE: 29th May 2011

Latest industry corporate lobbying to fall on deaf ears is the tobacco industry campaign to stop plain packaging. The majority of the Australian people support plain packaged cigarettes.

In this prediction Vine said, "As I spiritually tune into the business issues concerning Australia in the coming months it seems energetically the tide is turning – not in favour of the large business corporations." It seem that both the tobacco and gambling lobbying is out in favour of the Australian electorate.

UPDATE: 22nd April 2011

In this prediction Vine guided that the Australian public were desensitised to the ad campaigns and they wouldn't get the leverage they hoped for.

According to some media articles it seems consumer sentiment isn't leaning towards Clubs Australia and the Australian Hotel industries "Un-Australian ad campaign" which has resorted to fake reviews.
